We are looking for a Site Director for the Lincoln, NE facility, who will be accountable for achieving business objectives in full compliance with government regulations and internal company standards and values. The incumbent has direct responsibility for site functions of Production (Manufacturing and Packaging), Technical Services, Engineering & Maintenance, EH&S, Supply Chain, Operations Management, and indirect site responsibility for Finance, HR and Communications/Public Relations and Quality Operations.

· Being a leader of a competitive and successful Site

· Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence approach to site management

· Coaching & mentoring SLT members and providing suitable direction & guidance

· Leading succession planning to develop future SLT members

· Supporting in daily crisis & routine management situations

· Ensuring a balance between Delivery, Cost and Quality

· Introducing re-engineered manufacturing processes to achieve lower costs and higher quality at the Site

· Building Confidence in the Site’s capability to succeed in a challenging, competitive and complex environment

· Understanding and taking actions to mitigate risk

· Defines and sets the site strategic direction including supply operations, product and process improvements, customer service and compliance environment in alignment with the goals and objectives of the business unit and overall commercial business

· Provides leadership for management personnel responsible for the production of licensed products to ensure conformance with all regulatory requirements, cGMPs and company policies, procedures and product strategies

· Ensures the appropriate interaction with support groups such as Quality & Compliance, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Services, EH&S and others to evaluate production needs, resolve issues, provide resources and reset direction in order to maximize effective operations and supply of products

· Provides support for new and existing products by overseeing new process development and associated in-process testing, new assay development and launch planning

· Supports and co-leads Quality Council and other groups to support existing production and future product and product enhancement

· Formulates overall manufacturing policies and strategies to ensure consistency and compliance of manufacturing procedures

· Ensures plant operations are in compliance with corporate standards as well as federal regulations including Health Canada, cGMP, OSHA, EEOC, DEA, etc.

· Leads culture change in alignment with high-potential leaders by example creating and building a strong site leadership team

· Assesses and formulates a talent strategy to identify current and future talent needs, address critical gaps and ensure the readiness of candidates for critical site roles

· Accountable for the effective execution of capital investment programs to meet the needs of the business

· Responsible for Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence performance management systems and metrics and the issue identification, resolution, and/or escalation as necessary

· Interpreting local and industry trends and their impact on the Site

· Responsible for site operating budget consistent with short and long-term business and divisional needs

· Assures good relationship with local community and regulatory agencies such as FDA, Health Canada, DEA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, EEO and local governmental agencies

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

· BSC or BA in Chemistry/Engineering/Pharmacy/Business Degree (or related discipline)

· 15 years plus OTC, FMCG or Pharma experience including FMCG, OTC Supervision or other Operational GMP/FDA regulated organization

· 10 plus years of directly related experience in consumer environment with a track record of increased responsibilities including a minimum of five (5) years in operations and leading operations teams

· Experience with managing a large Change Management program – structural and cultural (e.g. site relocation) using a Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence approach to sustainable result

· Experience in dealing with regulatory compliance, regulators and agencies

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

· Strong organizational and planning skills, as well as a high energy level and initiative to proactively identify and address issues, implement remediation and hold people accountable

· Strong knowledge of and commitment to Quality and EH&S

· Understanding of cGMPs and demonstrated success leading cGMP operations and interacting with regulators

· Demonstrated success growing leaders, building strong and cohesive teams across the organization including the site leadership team

· Experience and knowledge in leading culture change efforts, creating an IPTc culture and aligning the leaders and colleagues in support of these efforts

· Demonstrated experience and ability to build strong partnership with other Quality & SC functions and leverage the network resources in support of the business

· Demonstrated aptitude and attitude to get immersed in the resolution of technical challenges and technical advancements

· Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple demands, set clear priorities and direction for the site

· Ability to understand and effectively utilize financial analyses to make high quality,

· Customer focused, cost-effective decision in a competitive environment

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation skills.
