Brown Supply Company Operations Manager in Lima, Ohio

Operations Manager Coordinate operations in the front office of a janitorial supply distribution company. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer service departments. Clearly communicate with staff and direct them through solutions to problems that arise on a daily basis. Manage marketing team and work with outside companies to direct ad campaigns. Organize and direct the company's summer trade show, keeping record of the company's efforts from year to year, finding ways to keep the event fresh, while honing the details to make each show better. Work closely with the developer of our order entry and inventory software. Work as a liaison in handling tech support calls to keep systems running smoothly. Implement new processes, make processes more efficient, process mapping, digitization of processes, be able to work on new/upcoming projects and keep overview over necessary steps and communications with stakeholders. Frequent reporting of key data to multiple departments. Communicate with supervisors both verbally and in writing while analyzing information to make decisions and solve problems. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills. Position requires some work hours to be performed during evening and weekend hours on occasion for company events, including trade shows held at the company's office in Lima, Ohio. Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree and two years of experience in: ?       Managing and monitoring projects and initiatives by using project management methodologies, including structure and milestone planning, budget and resource planning, and project documentation; ?       Organizing and managing events, including tracking expenses and resources, for different target audiences; ?       Leveraging technology to improve administrative processes, including utilizing calendars, task managers, and spreadsheets to collaborate with a team, track processes, and organize projects; ?       Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gain input on projects, including sharing feedback and providing resources, offering skills, and contributing knowledge; and ?       Using written and verbal communication skills to prepare administrative policies and following up to make sure those policies are adhered to.
