In the last number of years we've experienced rapid growth outside Ireland, and we now manage tens of millions of meters and their data on behalf of our customers. Being utilised in over 80 countries across the world, we develop the software to collect, store and analyse meter readings, including eyeball reads, walk-by and drive-by AMR, all the way to fixed network AMI. Temetra Mobile is our Meter Reading application for the North American Market, it's cross-platform Xamarin Forms based (migrating to MAUI currently) and interfaces with Temetra web application to download reading schedules, capture readings in the field and upload them back to our head end. Duties and Responsibilities Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. A highly skilled engineer developing additional professional expertise to apply company policies & procedures to resolve a variety of issues through effective communication, knowledge and experience inside and outside the department. Influences the decisions of others. Mentors new Engineers. Collaboratively works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Independently drives routine work. Executes new projects or assignments with general instruction. Required Skills and Experience Experience collaborating on software projects with both design and backend aspects Experience writing detailed UI and unit tests Experience integrating third-party libraries and APIs An understanding of the full mobile development life cycle Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices Experience with mobile mapping, for example Mapbox, including use of styles, glyphs and tiles, is a benefit Preferred Skills and Experience Mobile Development experience (Cross Platform: Xamarin Forms, Maui) .NET MAUI C# XAML UI Development Experience with multi-platform applications built for iOS, Android, Windows Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. #LI-MB1 Itron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.
