Exciting Technical Writer Opportunity!!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, organizing, and writing procedures, training materials, and process documentation. You will interact with manufacturing workers, engineers, quality assurance personnel, and other stakeholders to document, develop, and improve procedures. Your role will also involve proofreading documents to ensure continuity of style and content, managing updates and revisions to technical literature, and following documents through the review and approval process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, and write procedures, training materials, and process documentation.

  • Interact with manufacturing workers, engineers, quality assurance personnel, and other stakeholders to document, develop, and improve procedures.

  • Write easy-to-understand work instructions.

  • Proofread documents to ensure continuity of style and content.

  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.

  • Follow documents through the review and approval process.

  • Process, distribute, and maintain Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

  • Assist engineers with department requirements, regulatory documentation, and technical writing.

Essential Skills

  • Strong technical writing skills.

  • Experience with document control and process documentation.

  • Ability to gather information from production technicians, subject-matter experts, and technical staff.

  • Proficiency in writing easy-to-understand work instructions.

  • Two years of work experience in a related field.

  • Engineering degree (BS or two-year).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Manufacturing-oriented individual familiar with visual work instruction creation.

  • L6S YB training or higher preferred.

  • Previous experience with studying cycle times is beneficial.

Work Environment

You will work closely with a diverse team of production technicians, subject-matter experts, and technical staff. The role requires interaction with manufacturing workers, engineers, and quality assurance personnel. The work environment emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement of procedures and documentation. Standard office hours apply, and you will be expected to follow the dress code appropriate to a professional technical environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
