The qualified applicant will support a NAVAIR Program Office based at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, providing leadership for a multidisciplinary team to coordinate test and evaluation of Naval Aviation weapon systems. The applicant will work with customer, functional management, project engineering, and program management to plan and support T&E, systems engineering, and integration activities. Must possess the ability to rapidly understand new concepts, apply them accurately in an evolving and complex environment, and effectively organize, schedule and coordinate work phases and tasks. Excellent oral and written communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.

Requirements

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Develop T&E strategies that support program goals and constraints Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program

  • Develop Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)

  • Develop/review test plans to validate system hardware and software products

  • Develop/review test scenarios

  • Facilitate Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) as needed Establish and maintain a program filing system or databases as needed for tracking project T&E status

  • Support program management and systems engineering processes and meetings

  • Identify opportunities to use Modeling and Simulation to verify system performance

  • Articulate test objectives for events and identify test limitations. Maximize test data collection within range time and have contingency plans for shortened range periods or limited test assets.

  • Trace test objectives to higher level system requirements.

  • Collaborate with range test engineers, safety of flight, engineers, security, and logisticians to draft test plan documents.

Requirements:

  • US citizen withactive Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related science; experience may be considered based on customer approval.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an integration and test environment for complex Naval Aviation weapon systems and one year of experience in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

  • Demonstrated experience in developing T&E strategies and leading weapon systems T&E tasks

  • Ability to create compelling, coherent briefing products; excellent writing skills

Salary Description

$104,618.00- $135,469.00 depending on experience
