KBR is seeking a Product Development Lead to support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) efforts related to Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM). Qualified candidates must be customer focused and capable of operating within a dynamic environment in support of initiatives and must have experience with managing software development/customization teams. Candidates should be highly familiar with working within an Agile environment and will be responsible for team progress, customer requirements, software development, software customization, integration, and migration to the Government Cloud Environment (GCE). The successful candidate will provide direct support and leadership to a development/implementation team responsible for receiving customer requirements and interfacing with software subject matter experts and logisticians to customize and deploy solutions. The successful candidate should possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments, plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance results, and recommend changes affecting short-term project growth and success, as well as function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the JIRA-based NAVAIR Development board and develop, update, and maintain stories and bugs relative to the development effort. Track requirements across projects and maintain visibility on upcoming efforts. Assist with prioritizing bugs and tasks across product teams. Participate in product team meetings to gain a complete understanding of all tasks. Engage in day-to-day discussions on tasking, issues, and requirements. Monitor and track details related to test event progression. Coordinate information and share content for releases and test events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Years of Experience: A bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) plus 4 years experience.

Technical Experience/Background:

  • Experience with managing software development/customization teams

  • Understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in Product Data Management, Project Management, Requirements Gathering, User Acceptance, Major Upgrades, Software implementation, and validation.

Clearance & Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance or clearance eligibility, Single Scope Background Investigation.

Certifications: Certified SCRUM Master, Security+ CE, OS Certification
