Position Overview:

As a Project Manager for Manufacturing Digitalization & Automation at Siemens Mobility, you will play a pivotal role in transforming factory operations through cutting-edge technology. You'll apply agile methodologies to spearhead projects involving Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Your expertise will drive the adoption of digitalization technologies such as robotic manufacturing, process automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Augmented Reality (AR), enhancing both operational capabilities and training processes. Collaborating closely with IT, manufacturing teams, and external suppliers, you'll ensure seamless integration of digital process and data solutions, aiming for efficient, productive outcomes within established timelines and budgets.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead the implementation of digitalization and automation initiatives in a complex product manufacturing environment, leveraging MES and integrating advanced technologies like Collaborative Robots (Cobots), RPA, AMRs, IIoT, AR, and Digital Twins.

  • Apply cybersecurity best practices to safeguard manufacturing processes and data integrity.

  • Collaborate on ERP system integration with digital technologies, particularly SAP, to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Utilize knowledge of MENDIX application concepts for requirements gathering and operational optimization.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Manage and deploy manufacturing-related digitalization and automation solutions, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation purposes.

  • Demonstrated ability in creating data dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Mendix.

  • Prior experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems would be advantageous.

  • Requires up to 50% travel expectation during the first 6 months of employment then reduces to 10% after to support ongoing project management and client engagement needs.

The base salary range for this position in North Carolina is $98,600 – $133,100. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
