Job Title: Press Brake Operator - Starting Pay: $20-22/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator in Lexington, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, and will be proficient in setting up and operating CNC press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Interpret drawings and hit multiple bend lines in the right order.
Perform basic math, algebra, and simple geometry.
Read and use angle rulers, digital or dial calipers, and tape measures.
Determine whether a part is possible to bend by looking at the drawings.
Understand or learn how material stretches when bent.
Set up and operate the CNC press brake machine according to blueprints and specifications.
Select and install appropriate tooling and dies for each job.
Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve desired results.
Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
Deburr completed parts and work closely with the Production Manufacturing and Engineering Group.
Essential Skills
3-5+ years of welding and fabricating experience.
Experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment.
Proficiency in reading blueprints.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes.
Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate a crane if necessary.
Good communication skills and a team player.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programming is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled, older facility. This basic manufacturing shop flows from one end to the other, with material coming in and finished products leaving through the shipping and receiving door. The standard workweek includes 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, 8-hour days on Friday, and 6-hour days on Saturday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
