Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Dovetail Operator to join our production team. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you! As a Dovetail Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that drawer components meet our high standards for quality and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

Comply with all Safety requirements (PPE, LOTO, etc.).

Perform frequent Quality Inspections.

Operate various machines (ex. dovetail, rip saw, bottom groove, boring, edge band, etc.)

Follow set production schedule.

Set up and adjustment of equipment.

Operation of the equipment, including loading and unloading of materials.

Maintain production logs and all necessary paperwork.

Expectations:

  • Meet or exceed established parts-per-hour targets as specified by production standards.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality output.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and comply with scheduled breaks and lunch periods.
  • Foster a positive and cooperative team environment through effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; wood manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure in millimeters and understand dimensional tolerancing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for 100% of work time.
  • Frequent forward bending and side-to-side rotation.
  • Ability to lift and stack finished components as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:
