Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemist to join our dynamic team. The role involves conducting studies using HPLC, specifically Empower software, performing analytical testing with various instrumentation such as HPLC, UPLC, and Spectrophotometer, and executing general wet chemistry techniques. The successful candidate will also be responsible for data analysis, generating technical reports, creating new SOPs, and validating analytical methods. Troubleshooting instrumentation and methods will be a key part of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct studies using HPLC, specifically Empower software.

  • Perform analytical testing with instrumentation such as HPLC, UPLC, and Spectrophotometer.

  • Execute general wet chemistry techniques.

  • Analyze data and generate technical reports.

  • Create and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Validate analytical methods and troubleshoot instrumentation and methods.

Essential Skills

  • BS in Chemistry.

  • 0-2 years of experience.

  • Hands-on knowledge of HPLC instrumentation.

  • Understanding of proper lab safety procedures and working with potent or dangerous compounds.

  • Experience with sample preparation from lab settings.

  • Proficiency in lab documentation and maintaining lab notebooks.

  • Knowledge of wet chemistry and analytical chemistry techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and with drug-device combination products is preferred.

  • Good lab documentation skills.

Work Environment

This part-time position requires approximately 30 hours per week. Schedule options include core hours from 10am-2pm Monday through Friday, with some overlap hours to reach 30 hours per week, or 8am-2pm Monday through Friday, or 8am-4pm Monday through Thursday. The role involves working under a powder hood in the lab on the R&D side, running HPLCs, and performing method development. Candidates will need to pass an N95 respirator test and wear appropriate respiratory protection, including full face respirators.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
