COMMUNITY TRUST BANK INC Regional Operations Manager in Lexington, Kentucky

*Position is required to travel between all Markets in the Central Region.
SECTION I. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the formulation, recommendation, and implementation of the Companys banking operations policies, particularly those that affect the major area of responsibility (branches), by serving on committees relative to banking operations and equipment and by collaborating with others in the Company in the study and review of proposals.
Assist in all new branch openings, mergers, conversions and special projects.
Visit each branch in region twice per year, with additional visits for those who have received less than satisfactory audit results or need additional attention as directed by Regional President.
Review and recommend methods and procedures to make daily workflow in the areas more efficient.
Participate in audit exit meetings, assist with management responses, ensure responses comply with current procedures and policies and perform random checks in the branches to see that management responses to audits are being adhered to.
Ensure that the branch staff is knowledgeable in operations policies and procedures.
Ensure that standard operating procedures are being followed; provide guidance and training to branch personnel on operating problems, handling of exceptions, and adjustments.
Ensure branch staff is aware of procedure updates and able to access procedure and policy documentation online.
Receive and disseminate operational exception reports.
Report any operational exceptions to Branch Manager, Market President and Regional President.
Act as liaison and negotiator between branch and other centrally consolidated operations support areas in order to resolve both operational and technical problems and to ensure overall soundness of procedures and projects.
Work with branches to identify training needs and communicate those needs to Training. Conduct operational training as required.
Schedule quarterly meetings/conference calls with branch staff on operational procedures and issues.
Meet monthly with Market and Regional Presidents to discuss operational issues. Any adverse information found during branch visits should be reported immediately.
Work in conjunction with market personnel to support corporate services. This should include a full working knowledge of all aspects of Business Internet Banking.
Provide first level support for business customers of all sizes. This will include the following services commonly referred to as Treasury Management: Extended Account Analysis, ACH, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Merchant Services and Lockbox.
Assist market personnel responding to RFPs from both business and governmental customers and prospects.
Work alongside corporate managers with merchant service provider (currently Worldpay) and credit card issuer (currently Elan) to promote additional use by CTBI customers.
Other duties as assigned.
Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
SECTION II. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field or a combination of formal education, training and work experience.
Approximately two years experience in a managerial capacity.
Knowledge of Corporate and Branch operational policies, procedures and services at a level acquired through at least six years of related bank experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively interact with all levels within the organization when resolving problems and providing support.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to solve operational and system problems of a complex nature.
Computer literacy.
SECTION III. SCOPE MEASUREMENTS
Develop, monitor and maintain processes for tracking operating and technical issues. Monitor adherence to regulations and policies of branch employees and communicates results to management.
