Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Purchaser to join our team. The role offers flexible hours (up to 20 hours per week) and will involve managing purchasing activities related to raw materials, components, and services needed for manufacturing. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

Responsibilities

• Identify and Evaluate Suppliers: Research and identify reliable suppliers for raw materials, components, and services, considering factors such as quality, cost, lead time, and reliability.

• Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve the best value while meeting company needs.

• Forecasting and Planning: Work closely with the production and inventory teams to forecast material requirements based on production schedules, market trends, and inventory levels.

• Requisition Management: Process and manage internal requisitions from departments, ensuring timely purchase orders are created and approved.

• Create Purchase Orders: Issue purchase orders (POs) for raw materials, parts, and services based on production needs and inventory levels.

• Track Orders: Monitor the status of orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production deadlines.

• Expediting: Follow up with suppliers to expedite urgent orders and resolve any delivery issues or delays.

• Stock Control: Work closely with inventory control teams to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
