Title: Lending Support Specialist IDepartment: Lending SupportReports to: Lending Support SupervisorFLSA: Non-ExemptJob Grade: 7 Job Purpose: Provide support to members, Credit Union personnel, and third parties related to lending. Ensure the Credit Union is protected from loss by ensuring the perfection of liens on all collateral types. Work directly with credit union employees, dealerships, insurance companies, and members to resolve any post-closing loan related operations. Essential Job Results: JOB SPECIFIC RESULTSEnsure protection of the Credit Union’s collateral position by obtaining lien satisfactions on all vehicle loans financed by the Credit Union. Ensure protection of the Credit Union’s collateral position by obtaining mortgage satisfaction on all real estate financed by the Credit Union. Responsible for tracking and communicating with members, Credit Union personnel, and/or third parties as needed to perfect security interest and ensure that security interest is retained throughout the life of the loan. Perform regular tracking to monitor all outstanding unperfected liens. Follow up with members dealers, attorney offices, and clerk’s offices when required documentation is not received to facilitate the filing of the Credit Union’s lien. Communicate clearly and concisely with the member so they are aware of the implications of not providing pertinent documentation. Prepare letters of communication to the member when terms of the loan pertaining to lien perfection are not met. Provide guidance and a source of expertise for FSOs and loan processors on all matters related to vehicle titling. Research and obtain accurate information for title lien filings in various states where the titling processes vary.Responsible for accurately preparing lien releases on all paid/closed loans by reviewing reports daily and verifying collateral and payoff prior to releasing the lien. Responsible for preparing mortgage releases on all paid off mortgage loans by reviewing reports and verifying accuracy of payoffs.Facilitate the imaging and retention of title and mortgage documents by receiving and imaging recorded title liens, recorded mortgages, payoff documentation, and lien releases.Offer Support as needed by addressing questions and researching issues.Provide title lien and mortgage recording related reporting and analytics.Assist with lending related projects that pertain to this job’s function by working with the project management team and/or upgrading the Credit Union’s loan origination systems.
