Kentucky Blood Center IT Administrative Support in Lexington, Kentucky
If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference, come join our team! $1,000 Sign-On Bonus (after 90-days and if on board between 10/28/24 and 12/23/24).The Information Technology (IT) Coordinator assists with managing and controlling critical documents and data maintained by IT in order to ensure its safety and security. The role provides initial user contact support for hardware and software related issues, as well as performing other administrative and project tasks within the department. Reports to the Vice President of Information Technology.Responsibilities: Assists with managing and controlling critical documents maintained by the IT department.Performs database record maintenance tasks and other data entry functions.Generates and distributes reports from various applications, as needed.Prepares documents for imaging, and verifies image quality; applies appropriate naming conventions, and ensures the retention and archival of electronic files in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Submits requests for the retrieval and return of physical files archived in offsite storage.Assists with access management, such as password resets, and the new user setup process.Administers assigned systems and applications, providing internal training and guidance to outlying departments/locations.Provides general support for personal computers and peripherals (printers and other hardware).Assists KBC employees as the primary initial contact for user problem resolution related to PC hardware and software.Assesses service tickets and triages requests, routing to the appropriate IT team member for resolution.Operates with a service mindset, promptly and professionally responding to customers and performing first level troubleshooting; demonstrates expertise in the prioritization and assignment of requests.Maintains global knowledge of KBC internal structure and stakeholders, and overall blood center workflow and operations.Assists with departmental projects and maintenance tasks, as necessary.Orders and maintains optimal supply inventory levels for department.Fulfills general administrative responsibilities for the IT department, and other duties as assigned.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Minimum Requirements:Minimum of one year of experience in a related computer support role, or administrative position with equivalent responsibilities.College degree and/or certifications in areas of computer hardware and software support preferred; high school diploma (or equivalent) with the appropriate combination of experience, required.Qualified internal candidates experienced with KBC systems and procedures are preferred.MS Office, Outlook, and Adobe proficiency with the technical skills necessary to easily learn and administer other applications (such as document management software, and the blood banking computer system).Excellent work ethic, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.Work independently with excellent problem-solving skills, while also contributing to a positive team atmosphere.Ability to work regular business hours with occasional evenings or weekends.Strong sense of urgency, customer service and communication skills.
