Bluegrass Orthopaedics is hiring for a full-time HR Specialist. Basic Function The HR Specialist is responsible for providing administrative functions for the Human Resources Manager. Job Relationship Reports to Human Resources Manager. Positions supervised: none Exempt/Salaried position This is a in office position Qualifications Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail. Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment. Preferred degree or certification in medical specialty. Job Knowledge Greenway Intergy preferred Paycom experience preferred Knowledge of HR related competencies OSHA Healthcare compliance Medical Terminology Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness. Aptitude for problem solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies. Ability to maintain effective and organized systems. Responsibilities Develop Onboarding System and Process for BGO Onboarding and assist with Departmental development and continuity in on-boarding Prepare paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional onboarding experience. Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire-orientation, including data entry in human resources information system and audits for accuracy and compliance. Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation pay, expense reimbursement, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes. Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development. Maintain all OSHA records and documentation. Support the Human Resources manager to coordinate employee engagement activities. Manage employee monthly newsletter, birthday cards, employee of the month and intranet posting. Any other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Good visual acuity, hand-finger dexterity, ability to speak and hear. Ability to use electronic methods of communication. Standards: Understands and follows the standards of the Bluegrass Orthopaedic Employee Manual. Understands and follows the Bluegrass Practice Responsibility Program, Code of Conduct and completes all yearly compliance training and educational programs.
