VGO is seeking a dynamic and experienced Industry 4.0 Global Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Global Industry 4.0 strategy. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of digital transformation, manufacturing technologies, and program management. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects across various regions, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and driving innovation in our operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Global Strategy Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Industry 4.0 strategy that aligns with the company’s global objectives.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage digital technologies to enhance manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

  • Program Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Industry 4.0 projects across multiple regions.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while meeting quality and performance standards.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.

  • Technology Integration:

  • Drive the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies, including IoT, automation, robotics, AI, and data analytics, into existing processes.

  • Work closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation and integration of new technologies.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, IT specialists, data scientists, and operations managers, to achieve program goals.

  • Foster collaboration and communication between global teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Industry 4.0 initiatives, liaising with senior management, regional leaders, and external partners.

  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on program progress, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices and lessons learned from Industry 4.0 initiatives.

  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in technology to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.

  • Change Management:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes.

  • Provide training and support to teams to help them adapt to new tools and methodologies.

  • Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and cybersecurity requirements.

  • Internal Contacts – Executive team, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Quality, Technology, Planning, Operations, Risk, Procurement, EH&S, Information Technology

  • External Contacts – 3rd party consultants, Engineering firms, Integration Firms, Equipment Suppliers

  • This role will travel up to 40%

What You’ll Need

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Education Desired:

  • A master’s degree in business, Computer Science and/or engineering

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years focused on Industry 4.0, digital transformation, or smart manufacturing.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, global programs in a complex, multi-national organization.

  • Experience in implementing IoT, automation, robotics, AI, and data analytics in a manufacturing environment.

Other experience:

  • Project Management certification a plus.

  • Professional Engineer certification a plus.
