Requisition Summary

PACCAR’s Global Powertrain Department develops engines, drivelines, and axles. They are operating in Europe and North America. The Zero Emissions Powertrain department is part of GPT and developing new electrified components to support truck applications in the global product offerings under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF brands. We are focused on new technologies such as battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell electric, and advanced vehicle concepts in the heavy and medium-duty transportation industries. We are seeking a Reliability Engineer supporting the business to achieve the targets for Reliability, Durability, and Repair & Maintenance.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Defining realistic Project Reliability, Durability, and Repair & Maintenance targets

  • Assigning Reliability targets to subsystems and components

  • Drawing up and agreeing on a Project Reliability Plan

  • Supporting the Design Engineers in the application of Reliability Engineering Design for Six Sigma Tools

  • Reporting the Reliability status and progress of a project

  • Measuring and predicting the Reliability during and at the end of a project, including proposing possible corrective activities

  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities for Reliability Engineering processes

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering of equivalent.

  • Six Sigma DFSS or Green Belt or Black Belt Training.

  • 5+ years’ work experience in automotive or commercial vehicle systems

    Desired

  • Six Sigma DFSS or Green Belt or Black Belt Certification

  • Knowledge of DFSS tools including DFMEA, PT40, TP40, RVP, FTA, Weibull Analysis, Crow-AMSAA MTBF, etc.)

  • Knowledge of ISO26262 and ASPICE

  • Experience in agile work environments

  • Experience with structured product development processes
