We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lewisville. In this role you will be responsible for processing and monitoring incoming invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors, and maintaining detailed records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. Prior experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and process invoices and payment requests for accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals.

  • Match invoices to purchase orders and/or receiving documents.

  • Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and ACH payments.

  • Ensure timely payment of invoices in accordance with agreed payment terms.

  • Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and banking details.

  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies or issues.

  • Assist in monthly closings and preparation of accounts payable reports.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

  • Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.

  • Update and maintain accounts payable systems and ensure proper system configurations.

  • Work closely with procurement, finance, and other departments to resolve issues related to purchase orders and invoices.
