Penn State Construction J&D, LLC is a general contractor of commercial buildings completing design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects.  We have the capability to self-perform site preparation and excavation, wood and steel structure, and architectural finishes.

Primary Position Objectives

The ACM Fabricator works with a team to cut, fabricate, and package ACM panels for client projects. Fabricators follow a production schedule and ensure parts are manufactured to specifications and with high quality.

Essential Functions

Duties

• Read and follow fabrication tickets and cut sheets.
• Cut, fabricate, and package ACM panels or other project materials.
• Work with production team to ensure orders ship on time.
• Operate and care for manufacturing equipment[TA1] [AR2] .

• Clean work area daily.

   

Qualifications

      *  Required*

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Punctual and reliable
• Experience as a general laborer in the manufacturing industry
• Ability to safely operate powered cutting equipment and hand tools
• Ability to distinguish color clearly to perform duties
• Understand fractions and be able to read a tape measure
• Excel in a team environment

Working Conditions

• Primarily in a shop environment

   

Physical Demands

• Able to lift, push & pull in excess of 50 pounds
• Able to perform strenuous manufacturing duties during shift

• Able to stand and walk for a majority of the shift
