Job Summary
The RN is an essential member of the Patient Care Team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. The RN delegates those interventions that others may perform, supervises as appropriate, assists in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care, provides education to patients, and families, and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care.
Job Requirements
- Current Maine RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric
- Advanced Life support (PALS) certifications are required.
- Graduate of an approved Nursing program isrequired.
- 1-3 years previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia ispreferred or obtained before completion of orientation.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training is preferred or obtained before completion oforientation.
- Responsible, supportive team player.
- Ability to work well in high-stress situations.
