Job Summary

This position is responsible for completing engineering projects, continuous improvement initiatives, re-engineering old processes, designing fixturing, organizing and controlling project elements and working with the production team to maximize efficiency and reduce cost.

Primary Duties

  • Design production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste

  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce labor

  • Complete Time and Labor studies to update and improve manufacturing processes

  • Design fixturing and tooling

  • Design layouts for product flow and/or personnel requirements

  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; track monetary savings

  • Develop and document manufacturing procedures and requirements

  • Control project costs

  • Training or retraining based on a changed or improved process

  • Update documentation and work instructions

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities.

Education / Experience

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering

  • 2+ years’ experience in related field; may consider recent grads.
