Job Title: Solderer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Solderer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high level of soldering skills and attention to detail. This role involves identifying and reading values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components, verifying part values and placement, and utilizing basic equipment for final assembly. The candidate must be able to read assembly drawings and use a Bill of Materials effectively.
Responsibilities
Identify and read the values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components such as capacitors, resistors, transistors, and ICs.
Identify the orientation and polarity of components in reference to the printed circuit board for thru-hole.
Read assembly drawings and utilize a Bill of Materials to identify customer part numbers for assembly.
Verify thru-hole part values and correct part location placement.
Understand and adhere to IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
Utilize basic equipment necessary to complete the product’s final assembly, including hot glue, clipping, masking, etc., as needed.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Essential Skills
High level of soldering skill.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
Understanding of torque requirements and proper use of torque tools.
Ability to understand the use and need for hand tools needed in each assembly step.
Good PC-based skills and ability to maneuver through IFS system for workflow purposes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Entry level mechanical skills.
Ability to pass and obtain an IPC-610 certification.
Ability to interface effectively with internal customers.
Ability to work closely with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work closely with other team members to meet customer deadlines.

Work Environment
The work environment involves working with various electronic assembly components and basic equipment necessary for product assembly. The role requires adherence to IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards and the ability to work closely with other team members to meet customer requirements.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50/hr.
