Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Lenexa, Kansas. The role focuses on customer account management within the logistics industry and requires a variety of skills including customer service, communication, sales, and office functions. The workplace environment is dynamic, and the role demands a high level of interaction with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full life cycle of customer purchase orders including receiving, reviewing, approving, processing, and invoicing.

• Identify and assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction.

• Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer contacts through open and interactive communication.

• Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within given timelines.

• Manage large amounts of incoming phone calls and emails from internal and external customers.

• Analyze contractual documents, pricing, lead times, and incentive tracking of all assigned Customer Contracts.

• Act as a liaison between customer and company personnel with regard to contract commitments, modifications, and revisions.

• Conduct special studies, investigations, and analyses and prepare related reports.

• Engage daily with Sales, Supply Chain/Logistics, Production, and international counterparts.

• Use Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word, to carry out tasks efficiently.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to anticipate needs and show initiative. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in the logistics sector, preferably as a Logistics Clerk or similar role.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls professionally.

• Experience in sales and understanding of pricing strategies.

• Familiarity with office functions and procedures.

• Ability to prepare and present reports on logistics performance.

• Proficiency in handling invoices and purchase orders.

• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.

• Experience with 'About Time' software or similar project management tools.

• Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers.

• Knowledge of supply chain logistics and contract administration.

• Experience in production planning and scheduling.

• Ability to review and improve logistics processes and systems.

• Experience in customer account management and customer support.

• Ability to work in an interactive team environment.
