FINANCIAL AID MANAGER

Location: Lehi, UT

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Pay / Salary: $58,854 – 66,211 DOE

SUMMARY

The Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) Financial Aid Manager will be responsible for the overall functioning and performance of the Financial Aid team across all campuses, providing day-to-day leadership and direction with respect to policies, practices, systems, and operations in the areas of Financial Aid and Veteran Affairs. FINANACIAL AID MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership and coordination of Financial Aid at all campuses in the day-to-day operations, ensuring consistency of practice and maintenance of optimum service levels.

  • Subject matter expert in analysis, and evaluation of Financial Aid policies and procedures, including risk management.

  • Monitor and review operational plans, procedures, systems and support in accordance with the college’s strategic goals.

  • Work collaboratively with all other institutional Offices and Departments to ensure Financial Aid services and programs are planned, developed, regularly reviewed and updated, ensuring quality availability of financial resources for students.

  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with the Policies and Procedures in effect at the college.

  • Responsible for program and/or site approval from the U.S. Department of Education for Title IV eligibility, Veteran Affairs services, other federal and state agencies, and all other partner organizations.

  • Provide leadership and direction to all Financial Aid team members in providing federal, state, and all other financial aid services to students and potential students.

  • Ensures confidentiality practices are upheld with student, institutional, and stakeholder information and data.

  • Directly oversee the training, performance, attendance, and professional behavior of all financial aid employees.

  • Oversee the processing of financial aid applications, including reviewing documents determining eligibility, and awarding aid.

  • Conduct outreach and education activities to inform students, parents, and staff about financial aid programs and resources.

  • Participate in Institutional committees and meetings related to financial aid, representing financial aid offices as needed.

  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, Veteran Affairs services, and institutional financial aid regulations, policies, procedures.

  • Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines in all financial aid practices and decisions.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay current with changes in financial aid, and Veteran Affairs services regulations and practices.

FINANCIAL AID MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Financial Aid or related activities.

  • Professional management and development experience.

  • Proficient working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and Data Management Systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial aid and Veteran Affairs services management systems and software.

  • Previous experience in process improvement and development.
