KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Implement Sunroc mission (Building a Better Community) and core values (We Value People, Our Word is Our Bond, Always Give a Full Measure, We Continuously Improve).
  • Value safety, quality of work, job profitability, and project schedule.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications to build projects correctly.
  • Supervise, teach, and lead multiple crews and foremen.
  • Monitor employee training and certification.
  • Maintain division corrective action.
  • Communicate instructions and expectations to construction crews and foremen.
  • Communicate project issues and concerns with project manager and the customer.
  • Organize, plan, schedule and delegate work, labor, and equipment.
  • Assist in all project cost control and measurement tools being used on the project.
  • Review, understand, and adhere to all contracts.
  • Maintain insurable driving record.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
  • Interface with a wide variety of people from owners and engineers to field personnel and Sunroc leadership

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to multitask.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of all equipment used in field.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

     

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with dept of transportation, municipality, and private work.
  • 5-10 years of experience leading crews.
  • CDL a plus, but not required.

     

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work long hours outside.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.

     

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Documentation that proves eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Attention and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic.
