Native American Technology Corporation Project Manager in Leesburg, Virginia

The Project Manager will be responsible for working with the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, providing project management support with several contracts.

This position is contingent on contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and executing key projects.
  • Prepares and maintains the project schedule and budget.
  • Prepares and delivers status reports to the customer.
  • Primary point of contact for the customer.
  • Oversees all work and takes corrective action as necessary to ensure project success.
  • Manages staffing, budget, prioritization, and other personnel matters.
  • May serve as technical lead for the project.
  • Prepare detailed reports and progress updates to BIA leadership as required by the COR.
  • Performing a variety of editing and writing assignments to include drafting responses to urgent tasks and compiling data for technical reports, information papers, technical guides, and fact sheets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to manage projects of varying scope and complexity, including schedule, cost, and risk management.
  • An analytical thinker who can plan and evaluate, identify solutions, and collaborate and communicate with others effectively.
  • Experience leading a diverse technical team and maintaining awareness of task completion, delegation, and addressing problem areas as they arise.
  • Experience developing and enforcing work standards, providing quality assurance, assignment of schedules.
  • Ability to communicate and translate technical information to various stakeholders, including non-technical personnel who need to be apprised of technical issues.
  • Experience writing grant proposals and creating supporting budget rationale and justification.
  • Understands the relationship between the preservation and management of historic, cultural and natural resources, and environmental protection.
  • Organize and manage high-level meetings.
  • Experience in working with senior executives at an enterprise level business.
