The Manager, PSHB Product will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our health and dental plan portfolios. They will drive product innovation, oversee the product lifecycle, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and business partners.

The Manager is responsible for the ideation design and development of products that meet the evolving needs of federal employees and retirees. You will drive product development and implementation ensuring that GEHA PSHB products deliver significant value to our customers. Leading a team of product owners, you will embody strategic leadership and foster a culture of market insight and innovation. This leadership role will be accountable for delivering compelling product value propositions that resonate with key market segments.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead product ideation, design, and development, while managing the complete product life cycle.

  • Conduct product segmentation and competitive assessments to position GEHA offerings strategically in the marketplace.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of PSHB plans ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Craft and convey the value story of products empowering product owners to align their work with a strategic vision.

  • Set and execute the strategic direction for the product line ensuring it resonates with organization goals and market opportunities.

  • Manage the product portfolio overseeing development, life cycle management, and end of life strategies.

  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.

  • Drive innovation by leveraging market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform product development.

Requirements: Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Five plus years of experience in health care or health insurance with the focus on product strategy development that includes, minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role with staff supervision responsibilities.

  • Proven capability in developing and implementing successful product visions and strategies.

  • Strong cross functional collaboration skills and experience in managing complex programs in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with VEBA/FEHB or similar healthcare programs.

  • Proven history of launching successful healthcare products.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape.

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.

  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.

  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms

  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $114,125 - $160,875 USD.
