Location/Division Specific Information:

Lebanon, TN

Shift time will be 8PM – 6:30AM Monday – Thursday (Overtime as needed on Friday)

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the organization and coordination of manufacturing activities and the supervision of employees on night shift to manufacture and distribute product for the pharmaceutical industry on time with high quality standards in an extremely regulated environment. The Supervisor will manage conflict effectively to resolve issues effectively, use Practical Process Improvement (PPI) tools to reduce waste and improve operational efficiencies, product quality and regulatory compliance, and use Project Management tools to implement plans to increase efficiency and decrease waste.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead directly and indirectly all operations across the night shift functions

  • Develop direct reports by providing exciting tasks and assignments and optimally using the PMD (Performance Management Development process) and regular one on one meetings. Provide developmental feedback, conduct employee coaching and counseling for attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies and procedures

  • Direct employees work by supervising and assigning responsibilities for tasks and distributing the work load to ensure timeliness of product and schedule completion. Set clear objectives and provide feedback.

  • Supervise the production process to ensure compliance to all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and other regulatory requirements

  • Build and develop a disciplined workforce that adheres to all procedures and Work Instruction Documents

  • Improve the production processes by applying the tools outline in PPI (Practical Process Improvement)

  • Create and maintain a safe work environment by engaging the associates in reporting potential safety hazards, support of the EH&S guidelines and continual emphasis on safe work habits and working conditions. Investigate safety problems, develop corrective actions with EH&S and implement and communicate changes.

  • Investigate production problems and failures. Identify possible causes and coordinate with appropriate functional areas in finding solutions.

  • Promote production effectiveness by communicating and cooperating with other departments and shifts to maintain or improve quantity or quality of production

  • In addition, other duties may be assigned as the business need warrants

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Specific gowning is required including gloves, cleanroom shoes/coverings, hair & beard net and face cover, safety glasses with no makeup / jewelry, artificial or painted nails, and the like

  • The Clean room is controlled at greater than 30% humidity with a temperature between 60º and 70º

  • The Clean room has some ambient noise

  • Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene including labels and SDS (Safety Data Sheets), common chemicals are disinfecting, solvents and IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol 70% and 99%)
