WHAT YOU'LL DO
This newly created role will define and execute processes, strategies, and policies focused on optimizing cost, driving efficiencies, managing risk, and improving supplier relationships across Cracker Barrel’s indirect spend. The Sr. Manager, Indirect & Corporate Services will be the primary point of contact leading the procurement strategy across functional areas such as IT, Marketing, Finance, HR, Facilities, and Corporate Services, among others. This highly visible role will work closely with Legal and department leaders building advocacy and trust to drive collaboration, engagement, and process improvement. This leader will play a role in Cracker Barrel’s Supplier-Vendor Development and Engagement Strategy and will lead Sponsorship efforts. Primary functions include establishing category strategies, identifying and executing go-to-market strategies, planning and executing RFX events, and negotiating contracts and terms.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define, plan, and execute short-term and long-term procurement strategies for each category with a goal of reducing cost and managing risk.
Identify optimum go-to-market strategy to include internal RFx, group purchasing organization (GPO), and custom sourcing/e-auction.
Lead RFx events and appropriately document and update cross-functional teams.
Negotiate contracts to include term, pricing methodologies, option language, financial incentives, and other terms and conditions.
In collaboration with Legal, champion compliance of contract attribute completion and accuracy within Cracker Barrel’s contract lifecycle management tool.
Leverage the contract lifecycle management tool to analyze data and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Create category engagement calendars and establish an update cadence in support of stakeholders and leadership.
Lead the Sponsorship program management to include supplier-vendor and Accounting engagements.
Provide internal support for Sponsorship discussions and questions to include data tracking and reporting.
Assist with communications, conference planning, and supplier engagements in support of the company’s Supplier-Vendor Development and Engagement Strategy.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement seeking opportunities to evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce cost.
Minimal travel may be required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree with at least 8-10 years of direct and relevant work experience.
Indirect procurement with a focus on optimizing spend.
Leveraging GPOs and third-party service providers/consultants.
Implementing, managing, and leading large scale projects.
Executive leadership presentations and written communications.
Developing, documenting, and improving processes.
Previous experience building or growing a function a plus.
Restaurant industry experience a plus.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and reasoning skills with a problem-solving and results focused approach.
Ability to influence without authority.
Ability to communicate a vision and gain followership.
Expert negotiation, project management, time management, organizational and influence skills
Comfortable handling and managing through ambiguity.
Must be detail oriented and excel at updates and follow up.
