Description We are seeking a Public Senior Accountant for a short term contract employment opportunity in Leawood, Kansas. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role will involve various accounting functions, with a focus on account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing balance sheets and identifying any discrepancies

• Handling monthly reconciliation Journal Entries (JE)

• Independently managing general accounting tasks

• Utilizing accounting software systems to streamline processes

• Ensuring adherence to GAAP accounting principles

• Conducting account reconciliation to ensure accurate records

• Adjusting and posting monthly journal entries as required

• Identifying and rectifying any account discrepancies

• Applying accrual accounting methods in daily tasks

• Demonstrating ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and responsibilities Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Public Senior Accountant

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Proven ability to manage all Accounting Functions efficiently

• Solid understanding of Accrual Accounting principles

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP Accounting standards

• Expertise in Account Reconciliation to ensure accuracy

• Skilled in performing Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in creating Adjusting Journal Entries

• Capable of preparing and posting Monthly Journal Entries

• Ability to identify and resolve Account Discrepancies effectively
