Position Description:

The Tactical Application Senior Software (TASS) is a government owned, managed, and developed suite of software. TASS is used by the Joint Services, and numerous labs in support of continued development and testing of systems employed for defense of the United States and our Allies. The TASS team has in-depth experience in Command and Control, Fires, Maneuvers, Tactical Data Links (TDL), Test, Enterprise Information Technology, Software, Systems Engineering, and Information Assurance.

This position is located in Lawton, OK.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining the JTAPS software application suites.

• Work on an agile development team where success is defined by the ability to understand your path forward, effectively communicate that path, and complete the task inherent to that path in a timely matter.

• Research advancements in computer science and related fields to help steer the product toward long term success.

• Communicate with leadership and the customer to ensure a common understanding of requirements.

• Document your work for the benefit of your teammates, the user, leadership, and the customer.

• Identify and solve challenging problems by writing performant, clean, and practical code.

• Foster the growth of Mid and Junior software developers thru mentorship.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Active Secret Clearance, or ability to acquire one.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or

equivalent.

• 8+ years of experience working with Software Design and Development

• Proficient in Kotlin, Java, or C# and in the Microsoft .NET Framework.

• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices.

• Ability to analyze requirements, generate a design, and produce efficient, robust, and testable software.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Ability to design and build an intuitive User Interface (UI) using MVVM patterns

• Experience working on a highly networked application

• Knowledge of tactical and simulation data links (specifically Link 16, JREAP, DIS, VMF,

CMF and XML)

• Experience with using Git version control and GitLab as software management tools

• Experience with A-B Kit Abstraction Layer (ABAL) for rapid integration over the A/B link.

• Experience developing, integrating, and developing TAC plugins.

• Experience with TypeScript and React Native.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $219,600.00.
