Currently, DPRA is searching for an Intermediate Consulting Engineer in r4’s FISTA AI Center of Excellence (FACE) at FISTA Park in Lawton, Oklahoma. This full-time position will provide functional consulting, analysis and support of data and business practice issues related to the effective implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) information systems.  

Essential Job Duties and Functions:

  • Identifies and documents problems traced to data, configuration and system output issues and recommends solutions.

  • Utilizes industry best practices to analyze data sets to glean knowledge and insights to configure AI/ML systems that match customers’ requirements.

  • Conducts transformations so that data is structured ready for data analysts and data scientists.

  • Reviews work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and customer standards.

  • Identifies and triages functionality deviations from specification and works with customer and engineering staff to resolution of the identified problem.

  • Works with development, subject matter experts and data analyst to ensure projects meet requirements.

  • Conducts user research to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.

  • Experience with AI, machine learning and data collection and analytics strategies and techniques.

  • Proficiency in data preprocessing, cleaning and feature engineering.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

  • Problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to work independently with some supervision, a self-starter, with strong and consistent follow-through on initiatives.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with and Active DoD SECRET clearance (preferred), or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise with container generation

  • Experience with AI/ML, several types of datastores, structured and unstructured data and data analytics

  • Previous experience with Python, R, SQL and JavaScript

  • MS Office 365 skills, mainly MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, highly preferred
