Summary:

  • Under supervision of the Data Analytics & Quality Assurance Manager, the Data Analytics & Quality Assurance Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the revenue auditing process from registration through billing and payment posting to collections. The Senior Analyst provides education, guidance and assists with the coordination of daily work assignments to the Data Analytics & Quality Assurance Analysts. This role will work with department management to develop and implement corrective action and/or additional training as needed. They are responsible to provide the data and analytics necessary to improve process workflow in order to achieve the most efficient staffing levels and meet or exceed Revenue Cycle Dashboard metrics such as days in Accounts Receivable, Cash Collections and Denials. In addition, the analyst is responsible for submission, evaluation, corrections, and education of state regulatory mandates.

Responsibilities:

  • Uses report writer skills to write and/or revise Penn Chart reports to meet the needs of revenue related department for statistical and auditing purposes.

  • Assists with software upgrade testing and Schedgistration screen change initiatives to ensure state regulations are met.

  • Consistently reviews the quality of completed work of Patient Access Associates, Central Scheduling Associates, OR Scheduling Associates and Candidate for Billing Associates.

  • Adheres to Quality Assurance measures and metrics which report trends or process improvement opportunities for each project, office, and Revenue Cycle Department.

  • Designs/Develops Quality Assurance materials including electronic scorecard, individual quality assessments, and building quality dashboards in the electronic health record.

  • Provides communication to leadership regarding quality monitoring results and identifies and/or recommends training needs and deficiencies and project improvement plans.

  • Serve as a facility workflow trainer for Patient Access ED and Central Scheduling departments at the Princeton location.

  • Maintain PCI Standards for the credit card devices at Princeton by inspecting assigned credit card devices monthly and update the monitoring application with images from each inspection.

  • Implements corrective action plans as necessary to assist with the deployment of training modules to both individual colleagues and project leadership.

  • Maintains product and regulatory knowledge expertise.

  • Audits accounts to ensure all quality assurance standards are met including demographic, insurance payer, and signatures for consents.

  • Reviews QA statistical data with Revenue Cycle Management and Training & Education Department on a regular basis to identify problems, trends and recommends solutions.

  • Reports all quality indicators for identification of trends to determine where training deficiencies exist.

  • NJDDCS State Reporting - Responsible for accurate and timely NJDDCS state reporting. Back up for transmittal of daily NJDDCS populations for state reporting. Monitor the error report in PCG to ensure timely correction of errors by PFS and HIM staff. Provide root cause analysis of errors brought forward by PFS and HIM staff and provide resolution. Work with vendor to resolve issues that cannot be resolved internally. Do quarterly and annual account reconciliation to ensure that all reportable accounts have been transmitted to the state.Communicate reconciliation results and findings to relevant management/technical staff.

  • Maintains administrator and user log-ons to legacy and current websites.

  • Provides support to in-house staff for legacy systems.

  • Maintains standards of confidentiality and participates in unit compliance as related to established standards.

Credentials:

  • Epic Certifications (Preferred)

  • Achieve and maintain Epic Cogito Certification.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

  • Education Specialization:Equivalent Experience:•And 5+ years At least 5 years of experience working in a healthcare setting preferably within Revenue Cycle departments.

  • Working knowledge of scheduling, registration and billing functions and terminology.

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and staff.

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science
