Job Description:
Sage is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its growing Global Routes to Revenue (“RTR”) Performance and Planning team. The RTR team is responsible for GTM design, developing commercial models, revenue planning and creating an analytical framework to measure GTM performance.
This is hybrid role with a requirement of 3 days in office at either our Atlanta , Lawrenceville, Beaverton or Austin.
Reporting into the GTM Insights & Analytics Manager, this role is critical with respect to building an end-to-end GTM Analytics suite (starting with Sage Intacct) and providing insights to shape commercial model decisions.
A successful candidate will be passionate about cross-functional collaboration and project delivery as well as analysing, interpreting, and understanding large operational datasets in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Ability to manipulate large volumes of data into user-friendly visualisations is a key skillset.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of analytical and BI tools. We look for candidates who have some pre-existing expertise and supplement this with in-house training and experience to develop professionals of the highest calibre, who can bridge the gap between commercial drivers in finance, marketing, and operations, with data and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for building some of the key deliverables for the global GTM analytics reporting Suite (starting with the Intacct product):
• Work closely with key stakeholders to maintain and evolve operational KPIs to measure key initiatives that support the growth of Sage’s key Business Units.
• Build an interactive global reporting suite in Power BI which looks at key marketing, operational and financial metrics / KPIs.
• Create and maintain detailed process notes and guidance, documenting key calculations performed and assumptions taken.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business and analysts in local regional Commercial Operations teams to produce high quality analyses that drive actionable insights.
• Communicate findings, insights, and results in a clear, concise, and effective manner to senior management.
• Help build the analytics framework for ad-hoc projects which inform commercial model decisions, along with maintaining a detailed process document for every project.
• Dive into areas of the business and conduct root cause analysis and support senior leaders to effect change where required.
• Establish strong relationships with and become a key advisor to Sage’s GTM executives.
• Work effectively in diverse teams with an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution and support each other to learn and prosper.
• Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience doing data analysis or in a data analytics role.
• Working knowledge of some analytical tools, such as SQL Server, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, Python, R, PowerPivot/complex Excel, or any other related technologies
• Understanding of financial and commercial business drivers
• Some accounting knowledge, whether basic or advanced is preferred
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
• Demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams and being able to work under own initiative under tight timeframes
