Team Overview

Our US Legal Advocacy team is dedicated to defending and advancing constitutional freedoms through strategic litigation. We collaborate closely to support our mission by providing exceptional legal expertise and advocacy in the courts.

Key Responsibilities

• Confidential Legal Support: Act in a confidential capacity to all ADF attorneys, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local rules for each case.

• Legal Document Preparation: Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, motions, memoranda of law, briefs, orders, and other legal documents.

• Research & Memoranda Drafting: Draft memorandum regarding research findings and verify the accuracy and formatting of citations (Bluebook, local court rules).

• Discovery & Case File Management: Organize, index, and summarize Discovery materials, including Bates stamping, and maintain case file information in the litigation database and iManage.

• Legal Monitoring & Research: Monitor the status of legislation and cases via PACER and perform legal research using Westlaw.

• Special Projects & Supervision: Assist with special projects as needed and supervise legal administrative assistants when applicable.

  Minimum Qualifications

• Paralegal degree or national certification or equivalent work experience.

• 5+ years of advanced experience performing paralegal duties.
