Data Development Analyst

Job Description:

Sage is seeking a Data Development Analyst to join its growing Global Routes to Revenue (“RTR”) Performance and Planning team. The RTR team is responsible for GTM design, developing commercial models, revenue planning and creating an analytical framework to measure GTM performance.

The RTR team is seeking ambitious and diverse people to work in our newly created GTM Performance & Analytics team. Reporting into the Director of GTM Performance & Analytics, this role is critical with respect to building an end-to-end GTM Analytics suite (starting with Sage Intacct) to bridge the gap between commercial drivers in finance, marketing and operations, with data and analytics.

A successful candidate will have experience in ETL processes and data modelling. A proven track record of executing full life cycle data warehouse and business intelligence/analytics implementations will be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in building and managing the deliverables for the global GTM analytics reporting Suite (starting with the Intacct product), including:

• Creating and managing cohesive marketing, operational and financial data asset

• Designing data ETL models and schemas to meet business needs, curating and documenting everything in a detailed process note.

• Adherence of data governance policies and standards, ensuring data quality and integrity across the team.

• Working closely with the GTM Analytics & Insights team to support them in creating an interactive global reporting suite using the above dataset.

• Establish a virtual environment to create a feedback loop to enhance the data asset and KPIs.

• Establish a reporting infrastructure for monthly/quarterly performance review reports for multiple stakeholders across different functions.

• Assist with problem management by actively engaging in identifying issues and subsequent solutions, whilst working collaboratively across teams and managing associated risks

• Help build the analytics framework for ad-hoc projects which inform commercial model decisions.

• Dive into areas of the business and conduct root cause analysis and support senior leaders to effect change where required.

• Work effectively in diverse teams with an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution and support each other to learn and prosper.

Qualifications

• ETL Processes & Data Modeling: Proven experience in ETL processes and data modeling, with a track record of executing full life cycle data warehouse and business intelligence/analytics implementations.

• Relational Database Development: Proficiency in building and maintaining relational databases, ensuring efficient and scalable data structures.

• Data Quality: Strong understanding of data quality management and best practices.

• SQL Programming: At least 2+ years of experience in SQL programming, with demonstrated expertise in writing and optimizing queries.

• Salesforce Experience: Familiarity with Salesforce, including managing opportunities, leads, and marketing processes, is a plus.

• DBT (Data Build Tool): Experience with DBT is a plus, including writing application code, building data transformations, and publishing workflows.

• Snowflake & Git Repository: Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Git repositories for data storage, management, and version control is a plus
