Description

We are in search of a Business Intelligence Developer. This role involves analyzing and evaluating user business problems and developing system recommendations to meet requirements. You will be responsible for coordinating with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and analyze current and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems

• Work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables

• Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses, and understanding of impact on end-product/solution

• Communicate effectively with internal and client project team members, working to influence team members regarding solution design, process, and approaches

• Utilize knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and demonstrate broad understanding of other related specialty areas

• Coordinate testing and system controls, ensuring user acceptance of new or modified systems

• Develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge

• Supervise and review the work of lower-level technical staff, providing coaching and training as necessary

• Utilize leadership skills to manage teams and projects, ensuring efficient completion of tasks

• Utilize skills in cloud technologies, T-SQL, and agile methodologies to optimize systems and processes

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into system requirements.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders to understand ongoing and anticipated data needs and document reporting requirements.

  • Design and implement operational and analytic reports, visualizations, and dashboards with a focus on end-user experience.

  • Migrate existing reports from various Microsoft reporting tools to Power BI Service.

  • Administer the Power BI environment, analyze report performance, and implement performance tuning.

  • Utilize Azure cloud data services to design and develop optimal reports.

  • Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to design and implement data models and data transformations.

  • Ensure data quality in reports and analytics and apply data governance policies in delivering these to end users.

  • Incorporate AI/ML techniques to enhance data processing and reporting.

  • Assist the Help Desk with problem and incident management, provide end-user training, and participate in the Agile software development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience delivering reports using Power BI (including Power BI Cloud Service, Power BI desktop, Power BI Report Server).

  • Experience with the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack, Azure based data services, SQL databases (OLTP, OLAP), Power BI Cloud Service administration, data integration, and Agile projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, with good multi-tasking and follow-through skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with limited supervision.

Preferred Skills:

  • Power BI and Microsoft Azure data analytics related certifications.

  • Experience in predictive analytics, Power BI datamart development, supporting data governance, and Design Thinking and Human Centered Design.
