Description

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join our team in LAWRENCEBURG, Indiana. This role is integral to our company's operations within the telecom industry as it involves the evaluation of financial operations and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. You will be expected to independently analyze data and processes, understand the impact of on-floor processes on financials, and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Audit Program for each department according to the Annual Audit Plan, identifying risks based on departmental assessments and management discussions.

• Document and analyze the main business practices, create flowcharts and process walkthroughs, and collaborate with management to identify areas for organizational improvement.

• Execute audit procedures according to the approved audit program for each department, employing data analytics, statistical sampling, transactional testing, direct observations, and personnel interviews.

• Discuss and agree with management on areas of opportunity that arise from each review and issue a written objective report providing recommendations for improvement.

• Document observations/findings, collaborate on effective and measurable proposed action plans with management, and monitor management’s response and implementation.

• Maintain an organized electronic file with the evidence compiled for each audited department.

• Communicate results of fieldwork performed to both internal clients and Internal Audit Manager.

• Stay updated on all developments with audit processes and business environment.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient execution of tasks.

• Prepare audit findings and audit reports ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

Analyze data and processes

Understand processes on the floor and how they reflect in the financials

Not just a controls environment - not just going out and doing a checklist

View the floor/ production processes

Document and flow chart the processes

Pin point controls

They have templates in place for risk

Doing a risk control matrix

Finding out if controls are in place, what should be in place if not

Writing reports of findings

Understand manufacturing, production

Use Excel and download items from SAP

Spit out transactions and come up with patterns / anomalies

Responsible for anything on the supply chain side - inventory, stock management, logistics

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree required

· 3 to 5 years internal audit or internal controls experience:

o Industries: manufacturing, consumer goods, production consumables, plus in spirits and/or 3 tier distribution

  • Experience with auditing in a corporate and manufacturing environment

· Ability to understand, analyze/comprehend data in order to interpret and provide meaningful conclusions, familiarity with data analytics or related software

· Ability to work within a team to collaborate with team mates located in other business units and the ability to work independently while delivering goals and objectives to Internal Audit Manager NA and Internal Clients

· General IT knowledge and skills (Intermediate Skills Required)

· Excel Intermediate or above Required (i.e. v-look-up, pivot table) / Intermediate experience MS Suite

· Ability to balance multiple projects, communicate project status, issues and requirements at all levels within the business

· Strong soft skills: interpersonal/social, communication/writing (documentation/presentation skills), organizational abilities, attention to detail, business acumen, objectivity
