JOB SUMMARY

Rehabilitation Department Aide/transporter Minimum requirements: 18 years of age. High school graduate or GED Preferred. Satisfactorily complete competency requirements and hospital orientation, ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Job description: Position is responsible for assisting patients to and from the department and assisting the therapist or therapist assistance with efficient operation of the department and provision of quality care to patients. Job duties: 1. Assist patients to and from inpatient room or outpatient lobby to treatment area. 2. Assist with maintenance of supplies, linens, etc in department. 3. Prepare treatment areas for use, replace linens, assemble equipment, prepare hot/cold packs. 4. Assist therapist with patient care as directed. 5. Clean and replace equipment, etc. to proper location. 6. Maintain neat, organized department. 7. Assist therapist with maintenance of records, schedules, etc. 8. Perform any other duties as requested by therapist or assistant that do not require licensure or special training. 9. Complies with all policies and procedures of hospital and department. 10. Complies with all HIPPA regulations
