Job Description: Application(s) Project Manager

Summary

The Application(s) Project Manager provides additional coordination and communication, overseeing implementation and maintenance for assigned applications, application areas, or specialized teams.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining scope, schedule, and quality in their specific application area or team.

  • Setting clear expectations for team members, including defining what they should do at each phase of a given project.

  • Working closely with the project director and other project managers to coordinate activities.

  • Ensuring that non-Epic stakeholders are engaged in the project.

  • Advising and coaching team members by providing guidance on issues, key success factors, and lessons learned.

  • Sharing with team members the positive effects of innovation and system capabilities.

  • Reinforcing the importance of department initiatives and together with executives and the project director, provide consistent communication to the team.

  • Organizing resources within the organization.

  • Motivating and showing appreciation for the team.

  • Appropriately matching team member skills to team responsibilities.

  • Managing from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks.

  • Assisting as a support contact for their area Identifying and troubleshooting issues.

  • Guiding workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic (Wisconsin) software.

  • Serving as a liaison between organizational needs and Epic (Wisconsin) staff.

  • Maintaining regular communication with Epic (Wisconsin) representatives.

  • Working with Epic (Wisconsin) representatives and organization stakeholders to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs including deliverables and timelines.

  • Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows.

  • Participating in training and working with end users.

  • Reviewing the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.

  • Holding weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones.

  • Owning integrated efforts that span multiple applications such as BCA, Cutover, HODs, etc.

  • Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence.

  • The ability to gain trust and establish effective relationships with counterparts.

  • The ability to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and reach high levels of performance when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures.

    Education and Experience:

  • Degree/certification in operational or clinical area of origin.

  • Prior project management experience, preferred.

  • Attain assigned EPIC (WISCONSIN) Certification(s) within 90 days of employment.
