Job Summary

The

Quality Operations Managerplays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and product quality within the organization. This position focuses heavily on optimizing production processes, implementing quality control measures, and driving operational improvements to meet or exceed industry standards. The role involves overseeing day-to-day quality control operations, managing teams responsible for product inspections and testing, and ensuring alignment between operational goals and quality objectives.

The Quality Operations Manager will work closely with production, supply chain, and engineering teams to integrate quality standards into every stage of the production process, driving efficiency while ensuring the highest level of product quality and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Oversee and optimize day-to-day production; that procedures needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained and formulate Quality Control policies to improve the organizations efficiency and profitability by reducing waste.
  • Manage multiple sites Quality Assurance / Quality Control functions and personnel and establish a unified, consistent quality discipline, culture, and behavior aligning with ARA Quality Code.
  • Reports to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement.
  • Assists as necessary with sales, engineering, manufacturing and other departments in the evaluation and correction of specific quality control problems and issues.
  • Partner with engineering and RandD to ensure that quality considerations are included in new product development and scale-up.
  • Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure quality control is integrated into every step of the production process.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure that incoming materials and components meet established quality standards.
  • Lead a team of quality control inspectors, technicians, and engineers ensuring that they are effectively trained and aligned with operational quality goals.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills in quality control and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the quality control and operations teams.
  • Establish roles, responsibilities, and training for all employees in the QA/QC department to include staff performance evaluations.
  • Evaluate staffing requirements for the QA/QC department.
  • Monitors and evaluates the quality of planning and design activities accomplished by staff, vendors, designers, and contractors to ensure the work is in conformance with quality policies, ISO, and industry standards.
  • Ensures that products meet all quality metrics to ensure we ship quality products to the customers.
