Health Advocates Network Middle School Teacher in Laurel, Maryland

Health Advocates Network is seeking a Middle School Teacher to work at a Facility in Laurel, MD. This is a registry position with our company.

Pay Rate: $36 - $40 / hour

*W2

Shift Details:

  • 8am-4pm

A middle school teacher in Maryland is responsible for educating and inspiring students in grades 6-8. The job description typically includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Maryland State Curriculum Standards and cater to the needs and abilities of middle school students.

  2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student engagement.

  3. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their academic performance.

  4. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and address any concerns or challenges.

  5. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students in the classroom.

  6. Utilize technology and other resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

  7. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.

  8. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in education.

  9. Follow all school policies and procedures, including those related to safety, discipline, and student welfare.

  10. Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students, promoting academic success and personal growth.

In addition to these specific duties, middle school teachers in Maryland are expected to hold a valid teaching certification issued by the Maryland State Department of Education and meet any additional requirements set by the school or district. They must also demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment to the academic and social-emotional development of their students.
