Position Summary

The Electronic Technician will assemble machined parts with the required hardware, calibrate the test set-up to make measurements based, test plan and create test reports. Work with a team of design and test Engineers to build and test prototype antennas and systems according to engineering drawing and specifications.

Essential Functions

  • Assemble, align, tune antennas and subsystems per manufacturing documents.
  • Perform a variety of RF tests using tools such as signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and research manufacturing issues,
  • Assist with root cause analysis.
  • Assist in the development of work instructions and procedures.
  • Assist engineering with new products transitioning to production.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to present a professional workplace environment.
  • Identifying potential design and production issues.
  • Perform duties as assigned by manager.

Skills and Abilities

Experience needed:

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

  • 2+ years of experience working with and tuning passive microwave components including hybrids, magic tees, filters, OMTs, and different antennas.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to test assemblies using tools such as network analyzers and signal generators.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and research manufacturing issues.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly concepts in performing assembly to schematics.
  • Advanced soldering with IPC training/certification
  • Knowledge of use, repa r, and maintenance of machines and tools.
  • Ability to read drawings and bill of materials.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and be on their feet most of the day.

Education:

  • Associates degree in engineering, technology or advanced electromechanical experience in RF environment or US Military electronics training.
