Robert Half Systems Engineer in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer (Level 2) in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role involves management and optimization of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) deployments within a large-scale gaming environment. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with IT and support teams to ensure seamless configuration management, compliance with security policies, and a smooth end-user experience.

This role will be 100% ONSITE in Las Vegas.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage SCCM for software deployment, updates, and system imaging.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SCCM-related issues and conduct root cause analysis for system problems.

• Cooperate with IT and support teams to ensure seamless configuration management and adherence to security policies.

• Monitor SCCM infrastructure, track software usage, and optimize deployments for improved system performance and efficiency.

• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides to foster knowledge sharing within the team.

• Utilize skills in DELL EMC Technologies, Dell Technologies, Active Directory, Automation, AWS Technologies, Backup Technologies, Microsoft SCCM, MS SCCM - System Cntr Config Mgr, System Engineering, Microsoft Windows Server, MS Windows Server 2003, MS Windows Server 2008, MS Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Software Packages, and Diagnosis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in System Administration including knowledge of with the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, group policy processing and unattended (silent) installs of Windows operating systems.

  • 3 years of experience in SCCM to deploy Windows OS patches.

  • Experience with using Flexera Admin Studio, Install Shield or other Enterprise Packaging Software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of key ITIL processes – Continuous Improvement, Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Service Request Management .

  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications preferred.

  • CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications preferred.
