If this is a workplace for you, come build your future with us. Job Overview:We are seeking a Prefabrication Project Engineer to join our team of professionals. This full time, exempt position will be primarily responsible for preparing project designs, documentation, and assisting in the management of assigned construction projects.Responsibilities:•Assists in the management of assigned construction projects as directed by design assist manager.•Shares in the responsibility of ensuring that field operations on assigned projects are undertaken with safety as the primary concern, including completion of bi-weekly jobsite safety inspections.•Participates in and assists with projects by performing such activities as project organization; minutes of meetings; submittals; stocking lists; budgeting; coordination of drafting and engineering; etc.•Supports project management activities by performing such tasks as reviewing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI); updating budgets; managing subcontractors; scheduling assistance; updating weekly progress job cost reporting; tracking back-ordered materials and managing lead times; production reporting; etc. •Acts as the liaison between the project site, office management, and general contractors.•Directs the activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documentation. •Ensures that all documents produced by department personnel have been reviewed prior to being released and that all performance, standards and quality control metrics and corresponding budget targets have been met. •Prepares project designs using Revit and AutoCAD/BIM software and equipment. All drawings prepared comply with all applicable codes and incorporate all components required for fabrication: dimensions; part numbers; finishes and materials with all connection details identified. •Under the direction of management, works with organizational subcontractors and vendors to complete part drawings.•Develops and implements solutions to challenges identified during the project’s design.What We Offer:•Diverse and inclusive work environment where an emphasis is placed on work/life harmony.•Competitive compensation.•Comprehensive benefit package that includes vacation; company paid holidays; PTO; medical, dental and vision insurance; wellness program; flexible spending account (FSA); company paid life insurance, AD&D, and long-term disability.•Tuition reimbursement, 401(k) savings plan, and profit-sharing program.•Engaging culture, career advancement opportunities, professional development as well as much more!Required Education and Experience:•High school diploma or equivalent.•At least two years of experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit in design development and the preparation of construction drawings, preferably gained in the areas of light gauge framing, sheathing, stucco/EIFS finishes, stone, cast products and wood or developing production drawings for a company that builds themed environments.•Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and precision in daily work. •Familiarity with reading blueprints. •Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel.Preferred Education and Experience:•Experience in understanding and interpreting architectural and engineering plans, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation.•Proficiency with PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Spectrum, and On-Screen Takeoff (OST).
