Robert Half Payroll Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description

Robert Half is partnering with an industry leader in their search for a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Manager. to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will handle all aspects of the payroll function and collaborate with HR, Finance and other departments as well as third-party vendors to manage payroll, 401(k), and benefit processes, as well as related audits and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all payroll functions and day-to-day inquiries.

  • Evaluate and process supplemental payrolls for various needs.

  • Create, analyze, and review data for management and third-party requests.

  • Handle Workers Compensation audits, EEO-1 data, 5500 Benefit Reporting, SOX requests, and specific project schedules/invoices.

  • Conduct regular and quarterly audits, including bank reconciliations, payroll tax accruals, agency notifications, and more.

  • Ensure accurate payroll reporting to government agencies and in tax filings.

  • Maintain payroll systems for accurate tax and deduction reporting.

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for payroll and benefit information.

  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries for payroll, 401(k), and benefits.

  • Develop procedures for new compensation structures and withholdings.

  • Ensure compliance with wage and overtime laws.

  • Implement and train on new payroll, 401(k), and benefit processes.

  • Support HR on benefit issues and employee requests.

  • Collaborate with auditors.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

  • 8+ years of experience in accounting and payroll processing.

  • Knowledge of payroll processes and state and federal employment and tax laws, rules and regulations related to payroll.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficient in third-party payroll software and Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel skills preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to meet deadlines.
