UnitedHealth Group Customer Service Representative Associate - Remote in Las Vegas, NV Las Vegas, Nevada

Working in a call center environment under supervision to receive and process inbound calls from patients, providers and other medical staff. Execute outbound calls or electronic task to assist with providing medical related services. Assist callers with appointment scheduling, prescriptions refills, facility locations and lab results. Resolve routine to complex issues.

This position is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, working a variable schedule that can include days, evenings, nights, and weekends including holidays to support our 24/7 business operations. Additional information will be provided during the interview process.

We offer 2 days onsite for general orientation and total of 2 weeks onsite training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm PST from Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accepts and directs all incoming calls into computerized PBX system, 95% answered in five rings or less.

  • Acts as physician’s answering service for company.

  • Document all calls with 100% accuracy.

  • Connects personnel to caller as requested with 95% accuracy.

  • Adheres to phone scripting and relays information telephonically with 95% accuracy.

  • Performs critical / emergency tasks according to department policy with 100% accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience

  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

  • 1+ years of customer service experience with analyzing and solving customer problems

  • 6+ months of experience with working in a call center environment

  • Basic proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications

  • Flexibility to work a full-time variable schedule, on a mixture of days, evenings, overnight and weekends, including holidays to support our 24/7 business operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with working in a healthcare environment in a call center OR front desk position

  • Knowledge of insurance products

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:

  • Oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to demonstrate customer service and friendly telephone etiquette

  • Listening, critical thinking, decision making, telephone, customer service and problem-solving skills

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $23.94 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
