Position Summary* *

Assists Nuclear Medicine Technologist on duty to operate nuclear medicine equipment to produce images and physiologic date of internal organs and tissues for use by physicians in the diagnosis of disease.

Assists the on duty Nuclear Medicine Technologist with patient care and patient preparation.

Assists the on duty Nuclear Medicine Technologist with clerical and patient screening.

Assists the on duty Nuclear Medicine Technologist with IV access.

Agrees to not handle radiopharmaceuticals in any manner.

Communicates with Patients, Physicians, and team members with courtesy and professionalism.

Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • o Minimum Education: *Must be a graduate or actively enrolled in an approved Nuclear Medicine academic program. o *Minimum Experience: None required o Licensure/Certification: Must have an imaging registry approved through the ARRT. RT(R) RT(CT) or RT (MR). CPR certification required.
    Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
