Robert Half Junior Systems Administrator in Largo, Florida

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Largo, Florida. Working within the Government sector, you will be tasked with managing and maintaining our IT systems, providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems.

Responsibilities:

• Administrate and maintain Microsoft client and server operating systems including Remote Desktop Services, DNS, DHCP, AD, and Office 365.

• Provide technical support to staff and clients, and conduct training sessions to improve their IT proficiency.

• Utilize Cisco Technologies and Active Directory for network and systems management.

• Manage and ensure the functionality of computer hardware across the organization.

• Employ Backup Technologies for data preservation and system recovery.

• Regularly update and maintain accurate records of all system administration activities.

• Implement and manage System Administration protocols to ensure the secure and efficient operation of our systems.

• Utilize MS Office 365 for administration tasks and communication.

• Maintain a valid Florida Class “E” driver’s license for potential travel between government offices.

Requirements • Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco Technologies.

• Proficient in Active Directory management and operations.

• Familiarity with various Backup Technologies.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair Computer Hardware.

• Prior experience in System Administration.

• Proficiency in utilizing MS Office 365 and its applications.

• Understanding of government protocols and regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
