Job Description
Purpose of Job:
Installation and maintenance of all plumbing systems including sanitary facilities, water supplies, storm water and sewage disposal, medical gases and fire protection sprinkler systems.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
- Designs and implements a progressive preventive maintenance system.

``` - Ensures and provides a safe means of disposal of sanitary sewer and storm drainagesystem throughout the hospital.

``` - Provides for the installation of all domestic hot and cold water as needed throughout the hospital. Maintains and repairs hot & chilled water piping for heating/cooling systems.

``` - Provides, installs and maintains all medical gases necessary for the operation of the hospital.

``` - Installs and maintains fire protection sprinkler system.

``` - Performs and communicates with and around all patients, staff, and visitors within theconfines of the hospital.

``` - Participates in On-Call Program for trade area.

Job Requirements
General Requirements • State of Michigan Journeyman Plumber License or higher. • Drives hospital/department vehicles. Must have valid driver's license. Work Experience • 6 Years Journeyman experience preferred Education • High School Diploma or GED Specialized Knowledge and Skills • Knowledge of plumbing code required by the city or state • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blue prints • Demonstrated mathematical skills
